Couple’s Therapy

Support for couples who want to communicate more openly, work through relationship challenges, and feel more connected.

Couples therapy

You may love each other and still feel stuck.

Many couples come to counselling after trying repeatedly to solve the same concerns. You may talk about the problem, promise to handle it differently, and still find yourselves returning to the same argument, silence, resentment, or misunderstanding.

One partner may pursue the conversation while the other withdraws. One may feel criticized while the other feels ignored. Everyday concerns involving responsibilities, parenting, intimacy, finances, or family can begin to represent something deeper: whether you feel understood, valued, supported, or emotionally safe with one another.

A neurodivergent-informed perspective can also support relationship concerns when neurodivergence affects communication, emotional regulation, responsibilities, or connection.

Couples counselling helps you slow these patterns down, understand what each partner is experiencing, and practise new ways of communicating and reconnecting.

Common challenges we help couples work through:

  • Having the same arguments without resolving them
  • Becoming defensive or shutting down during conflict
  • Feeling emotionally disconnected or misunderstood
  • Rebuilding trust after an affair or betrayal
  • Struggling with emotional or physical intimacy
  • Disagreeing about parenting or responsibilities
  • Adjusting to marriage, parenthood, relocation, or career changes
  • Feeling more like roommates than partners
  • Unsure whether the relationship can be repaired
  • Seeing ADHD, autism, anxiety, or trauma affect your relationship
  • Struggling with different emotional regulation needs
  • Wanting support before concerns become harder to manage

You do not need to wait until your relationship is in crisis. Counselling can also help couples strengthen communication, understand each other more deeply, and prepare for an important transition.

Family Therapy

Even the closest families can lose their rhythm sometimes.

Whether it’s communication breakdowns, changing routines, or behaviour challenges, family therapy helps you reconnect, reduce tension, and build a more supportive home environment.

  • Communication that leads to conflict or misunderstanding
  • Big emotions from kids, teens, or parents
  • Constant tension between siblings or co-parents
  • Parenting that feels reactive or exhausting
  • Life changes that throw off routines and roles
  • Feeling distant, unseen, or stuck in old patterns
  • Improve Communication
  • Handle Conflict Better
  • Manage Emotions
  • Better Sibling Dynamics
  • Better Routines
  • Support Each Other
