With over 15 years of experience as a behavioural health professional, Melina specializes in supporting children, teens, and adults with Autism, ADHD, and Learning Disabilities. She connects with kids and teens in a way that feels natural and genuine. She understands how layered their world is right now—school stress, social pressures, emotional ups and downs—and helps them feel safe enough to talk about it. She has a gift for helping them break things down into manageable steps so they can build confidence and create real, lasting change.
Her approach is collaborative and individualized. She never relies on a one size fits all method. She takes time to truly understand each person, looking beyond surface behaviour to uncover what they are really trying to express. She guides clients in developing essential life skills like emotional regulation, social skills, organization, time management, and study habits, while also addressing anxiety, depression, and stress. Her strengths based method empowers clients to take ownership of their growth.
Whether she is working on IEP development, school transitions, or coaching teens through periods of overwhelm, she finds the most meaning in those moments when young people realize they are not broken—they just have not been supported in the right way. She shows up calm, grounded, and real, which creates a space where kids and teens do not have to perform or pretend. They feel heard, respected, and challenged in ways that are supportive, not critical.
Her goal is to help every young person and their family build tools that actually work for them. She wants to be known as the person who helped kids feel seen, helped families understand their children better, and helped schools connect the dots so real change could happen.
